My name is Christina Thomas (she/her) and I play the harp at weddings and events in Richmond, Virginia and its surrounding area (Charlottesville, Williamsburg, etc.). I specialize in playing current hits in a classical style, but I have a large repertoire that includes a variety of genres.
Virginia Schweninger
Virginia Schweninger was born and raised in Southern California where she studied and performed music from the age of six. She obtained a BFA degree in Harp and went on to live the exciting life of a pro musician.
Over the years, she and her husband, Dave, created a very successful entertainment design company with projects for Disney, Universal Studios, The Sears Tower and The World Trade Center “Top of the World” Observation Deck and more. Following the tragedy of 9/11, Dave and Virginia packed up and moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains outside of Charlottesville, VA and began a rich new life.

Karlee Lanum is an accomplished harpist and dedicated educator based in central and southern Virginia. ​​​​She maintains an active freelance career, frequently performing with esteemed ensembles such as the Richmond Symphony and the Charlottesville Symphony. In addition to her performing work, Karlee is the founder and instructor of the Richmond Harp Studio, where she passionately cultivates a love for the harp in students of all ages and skill levels.
Emily Lewis
Nearly a decade ago, Emily’s piano teacher at the time invited her to their local library to hear a harpist that was touring the area. After hearing Jo Morrison’s inspiring Celtic harp performance, Emily began pursuing her career as an event harpist. Her experience includes performing for vow renewals, memorials, open houses, and an event spotlight at a bridal show in historic downtown Fredericksburg. Melba & Verneeta Williams
We both began taking harp lessons in the Richmond Public Schools in the third grade. We also both play the piano and sing, and I play the organ.
We stayed with the harp at Richmond Community High School and at the University of Virginia. While in college, between us, we also played with the Charlottesville Symphony Orchestra, the Petersburg Orchestra, and even occasionally with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
